Fundraising for Alfie

In 2009 I helped to organise a fundraising recipe booklet for a little boy with a very rare, incurable, chromosomal disorder. He had a little brother on the way and needed a specialist pushchair in order for the family to be able to get out and about. Within weeks we had raised enough money for the pushchair to be purchased thanks to the generosity of many.

In September 2014, more funds were needed in order to purchase Alfie an “upsee” to help him to stand upright and get some mobility. I offered to build one of my charity websites for the family in order to re-sell the “Recipes for Alfie” booklet as well as providing a space where people could donate or offer up their own fundraising ideas.

I’m pleased to say the website has had a great reaction, and within days we were well on our way to meet our target. If you’re a UK-based charity or fundraising group and you would like to know more about my free charity website offerings, please contact me for more information.
